Billshark Can Negotiate Lower Bills – This Is Incredible
Bill negotiation companies have been around for a long time. They hire professionals to go full force at negotiating down your bills. In exchange, you pay the negotiation fee a commission based on your savings.
It’s a great consumer-friendly model because the bill negotiator’s interests are aligned with yours. They only make money when you “make” (read: save) money off their negotiations.
Billshark is a relatively new yet rising force in this market. Read our billshark review for more information about them and how they could get you a chance at lowering your bills!
The Problem With Trying to Lower Your Bills
Lowering your bills is possible through negotiation, but it’s time-consuming. Calling just one of your service providers could mean 1+ hours on the phone, being put on hold, being transferred between departments, etc.
Not to mention the time spent researching competitor pricing and preparing your “sales pitch” to be used on the phone.
Nobody has time to do that.
And then there’s the problem of emotions.
Many are afraid of hurting the company’s feelings, of sounding stupid, of bothering the customer service rep, of being chewed out for daring to negotiate their bill, or just generally being anxious over the phone.
Personal issues like these can leave you paying more than you deserve to pay just because you’re afraid to stand up for yourself.
While we encourage working on those skills, Billshark can do all the heavy lifting for you so you don’t have to worry about being a bother.
What is Billshark?
Billshark is a bill negotiation service owned by Keen Group Solutions LLC. It was founded in 2015 by Steve McKean to, in Billshark’s words, “empower consumers to play offense with their personal finances and live smart-money values”.
Funnily enough, the famous “Shark” from Shark Tank Mark Cuban is actually backing the company. Who better to help Billshark than the Shark himself?
What Does Billshark Offer?
Billshark negotiates several types of bills:
- Cable TV
- Satellite TV
- Mobile phone
- Internet
- Satellite radio
- Home security
They claim to have an 85% success rate negotiating these bills, which is honestly pretty good. That means if you had each of the aforementioned services, Billshark would only fail to negotiate 1 of these services.
Billshark is quite fast in their work, too. They usually find you savings by your next billing cycle and keep you in the loop with constant updates.
Mobile App
No online-based bill negotiation service would be complete nor convenient without a mobile app. Billshark’s app is compatible with Apple and Android devices.
The mobile app’s design is clean and simple. You can upload bills or even snap pictures, to send them to Billshark, and they’ll handle the rest.
You can then be updated on which bills are completed and which ones are still being processed. Nice to have it all in the palm of your hand!
Business Bills
Are you a business owner? Billshark can help you lower your bills as well. It works mostly the same as personal bills. However, they offer negotiations for the following bills types:
- Mobility
- Telecommunications
- Waste management
- SaaS subscriptions
- Document services
Time is money. This is a great way to cut business expenses that much more without having to spend valuable business time doing it.
Savings Calculator
Curious about how much you could save with Billshark? They know, and they provided you a Savings Calculator tool to show your potential savings.
It’s simple: pick the type of bill, then drag the slider along until you reach your total currently monthly payment amount for that bill.
Billshark will display your approximate savings at the bottom of this screen.
We’re not entirely sure what they base your potential savings amount on, but it’s most likely based on what they’ve been able to save previous customers.
This calculator is quite simple and looks like its built more to drive sales for Billshark, but it does still give you an idea of the potential savings Billshark can earn you.
Speed Test
Sure, you can find internet speed test tools anywhere on the web with a simple Google search, but Billshark included one on their own site since it’s relevant to your internet bill.
You can quickly find out if you’re being way overcharged for slow internet speeds from your internet provider directly on the Billshark website, then call on Billshark to show your provider who’s the boss here.
Billshark’s Fees
Seems steep, but remember that they don’t earn anything until you earn anything. It’s risk-free, and you’re simply paying them for their expertise in finding hidden costs as well as the convenience of not having to negotiate yourself.
How to Get Started Lowering Your Bills with Billshark
Signing up for Billshark is lightning fast. First, you create a username and password with your email.
Then, you select the bills you’d like to negotiate from the options they present to you. Pick a bill, select your provider, then Billshark will ask you for the your monthly payment amount for said bill.
At this point, they also ask for copies of your bill statements. You can provide these one of two ways:
- Uploading the bills (the faster of the two methods) – Can be in PDF, JPEG, GIF, or PNG format
- Logging into your billing accounts – You give Billshark the username and password you use to log onto your service provider’s site so Billshark can analyze your bills
Lastly, they ask for some more information to complete the signup process.
Adding More Bills
Recently pick up a new cable TV package? You can send it to Billshark via their website, their mobile app, and even over email.
Stop Paying So Much For Your Bills
With cashback sites, there’s little reason to pay full price for shopping.
In a similar vein, you shouldn’t be paying “full-price” for your bills anymore because there are bound to be hidden fees and upcharges in them.
Billshark can fix that for you, and quite fast too.
